Abstract
This research was carried out to investigate the effect of recruitment methods on employee’s performance. Recruitment is said to be one of the most important functions of human resource management. Therefore, the research was focused on employees of Quality Chemicals Industries Luzira and the methodology used to obtain the necessary information involved questionnaires, interviews and library research.
The study was set out to examine whether there was an effect on employee performance through the recruitment methods used. The study used both quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection.
The literature review presented in chapter two confirms that there various methods of recruitment that are used by various organizations and such literature was found in books, journals and internet. The literature shows that recruitment is widely considered as a source of achieving performance since it is one of the basic functions of human resource management.
Regarding the study findings, it was revealed that recruitment methods affect performance. The findings also showed that there are many methods used when recruiting employees, and only a few of these methods are used.
