Abstract
This research is about the relationship between corporate governance and organisational sustainability. The main objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between corporate governance in organizational sustainability and the specific objectives were; to examine the relationship between accountability and organizational sustainability, examine the relationship between transparency and organizational sustainability and to evaluate the relationship between fairness and organizational sustainability.
The case study was companies within Kampala District. A cross sectional study was carried out using both quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection. Questionnaires and interviews were used as the tools for collecting data
The results from the research findings show that because stakeholders have a substantial level of influence on the shaping the company’s activities, companies have to continuously keep their stakeholders updated on their performance to all their stakeholders as they are accountable to the stakeholders. This disclosure however, should be done cautious to avoid information leaking out to competitors. If this is done effectively, then all stakeholders will feel fairly treated hence continue to support the company in form of financial assistance, increased productivity from the employees and customer loyalty hence sustainability of the entity through profitability, resource reservation and support from the community.
