Abstract
The study on the Effect of Inventory Management on Organizational Performance was carried out in Namuwongo, Kampala District. It aimed at investigating and ascertaining the relationship between Inventory Management and Organizational Performance in Print Media Business particularly the Daily Monitor. The study employed both qualitative and quantitative approaches of collecting data research designs. Data was collected using Questionnaires, Interview guide and Checklist. It was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Scientists 6.0 where conclusions drawn were presented using figures and correlation tables. The findings revealed that there was a positive and significant relationship (r=0.515**, p≤0.01), between Inventory Planning and organizational performance, a positive and insignificant relationship (r=0.334*, p≤0.05) Inventory Control of Inventory and organizational performance, a positive and insignificant relationship (r=0.433**, p≤0.01) with Organizational Performance.
Above all it is important that daily monitor adheres to the inventory requisition and purchase procedures, adapts computerized inventory recording system and stock taking for achievement of more effective and quality results.
The study therefore, concludes that effective planning, control and coordination of inventory indicate a significant relationship between Inventory Management and Organizational Performance of the Daily Monitor.
