Abstract

This project is about designing and implementing an On-line Voting Management System using Kisubi High school as the case study.

This study looked at the challenges that the electoral body, staff, candidates and voters face during the voting process. It dwells on how electoral body can use the power of Information Technology to manage its voting records. This study therefore provides answers on how best the management at electoral body can manage the voting records.

Data was collected from Kisubi High School and was analyzed to find out what challenges the electoral body faces in handling its information or data, the challenges it faces handling increasing amount of voters and candidates, and result checking.

The findings of the study identified the loop holes in electoral body handling of voting records with the manual system in place such as time wasting, data redundancy and difficulty in searching for voting records or details. The study therefore recommended that voting process needs to examine the idea of deploying an On-line Voting Management System that will provide the necessary solutions to all its challenges.
