Abstract
The management of accurate, up-to-date information regarding a student’s academic career is critically important in the management of a university. Some of the ways a student’s academic career can be managed to foster success is through monitoring and recording attendance as well as proper management of student results attained from end of semester exams carried out during the time a student pursues a discipline at a university. Several universities rely heavily on a manual or paper based system for the management of these students’ records and if at all a computerized method exists, it is not fully utilized. This research focuses on the design and implementation of a computerized student attendance and results information system at Uganda Martyrs University to replace the current paper records that will improve the andling of students’ results and attendance records.
