Abstract
The study mitigated the impact of financial management on the performance of private health institutions, a case study of Nkozi Hospital. Financial management is broken down into financial auditing, financial planning and financial budgeting.
The main objective of writing the report was to find out the impact of financial management inform of financial planning, auditing and budgeting on performance of private health institution. And this objective was a basis for the literature review, analysis, interpretation and presentation of the information from the collected data.
The questionnaires and interviewing as tools of research were used and both quantitative and qualitative methods were used. And the researcher used questionnaires most because the respondents found them more applicable due to the simplicity of language in the questionnaire, some respondents preferred the interview method because they wanted further assistance when answering questionnaire.
The report showed that most individuals were not well conversant with financial auditing, budgeting and planning hence there was need for the hospital management to train individuals about what is involved in financial management and also to inform everyone when such events are taking place. In conclusion financial management is very crucial and important in the performance of private health institutions.
