Abstract
The study was based on financial management practices and financial performance of SMEs considering Kayabwe Trading Center as a case study.
Chapter one indicates background of the study, purpose of the study, the various objectives which includes; to establish the different financial management practices of SME‟s, to establish the measures of financial performance of SME‟s, to analyses the effect of financial management on the financial performance of SME‟s.This chapter also includes the research questions, scope of the research study that is the subject scope, geographical scope, and the time scope, plus the significance of the study.
Chapter two explains the literature review on the concepts under study where the study reviewed literature on the concept of financial management practices, financial performance as well as the relationship between the two variables under study.
Chapter three includes the methods used to collect data the various ways that data was to be processed, analyzed and presented to produce the report.it also includes the research design, sources of data, data collection methods, data processing and analysis, discussions and presentations of findings and limitation of the study.
Chapter four focus on the presentations, analysis and interpretation of the findings showing the different tables that shows those findings and presentations.
Finally, chapter five presents the summary of the findings, conclusions, the recommendations for example training the new staff members that have joined the organization and others.
