Bio

Dr. Harriet Sibitenda is a data innovator applying artificial intelligence for societal impact. At the University of Gaston Berger, Senegal, in collaboration with Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA, she developed AI-driven solutions addressing challenges in health, agriculture, and social development across Africa. With a background in data engineering, natural language processing, and social network analysis, Harriet has published peer-reviewed research (IEEE access, Springer and MLA) and created open-source datasets that advance evidence-based decision-making. She has collaborated with universities, research hubs, and civil society networks across Africa and the USA, focusing on transforming unstructured data into actionable insights. Passionate about inclusive innovation, she is committed to using technology to deliver measurable societal impact and strengthen local ecosystems.
