Biography
Lino Ika has is a lecturer of governance, peace, and development in the Department of Governance, Peace, and International Studies of Uganda Martyrs University. He teaches, supervises students, and engaged in community service in the thematic areas of leadership, governance and development, peace and conflict studies, public policy, urban planning and sustainable development, education for sustainable development, and civil society for the last eight years. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from Uganda Martyrs University, a Master of Arts degree in Sustainable Urban Governance and Peace Studies from the United Nations University for Peace, and a Bachelor of Development Studies degree from Uganda Christian University. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy at the University of Pretoria. Coupled with his Ph. D. research that aims to construct an advocacy competency framework for city economic development, he is also interested in and conducts research and training in areas of governance and public policy, education for sustainable development and higher education teaching and learning, conflicts resolution and peacebuilding, urbanization and development.
