Biography

Nakabo Robinah is a research fellow with the School of Post Graduate Studies and Research, the Gender Equity in Research (GERA) Central Region Coordinator, and the Association of Research on Civil Society in Africa (AROCSA) Fellow

.

Nakabo Robinah holds a PhD from (Makerere), an MA degree in Philosophy (Makerere), an MA in organizational leadership (Eastern University, Pennsylvania), and a BA in social sciences (Makerere) majoring in gender and development

.

She has gained teaching experience at the Department of Philosophy at Makerere University between 2013 and 2018, teaching subjects such as philosophy of gender, research methodology, ethics and human rights in Uganda, and communication skills

She is an awardee of the Gerda Henkel Foundation and Makerere University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences doctoral fellowship. Topic: Followership and Women’s Empowerment to Sustainable Development: A Case Study of Women in the National Association of Women’s Organizations in Uganda. Her research interests are rooted in applied philosophy, specifically Philosophy of gender, political philosophy, philosophy of education, and philosophy of economics. This is coupled with an interest in research methodology and theories of knowledge
